David Buttress

David is a successful entrepreneur, serial angel investor, owner of a professional Rugby team Dragons RFC based in his native Wales, Venture Partner at 83North – a global venture capital firm and Entrepreneurship Ambassador for Oxford University. He is currently an Advisor to Just Eat Takeaway, non executive Board member of Obligo Inc based in New York City and Chairman of HungryPanda Ltd.

David was, until March 2017, Chief Executive Officer of Just Eat Plc, leading Europe’s most successful and biggest tech IPO in 2014, before subsequently taking up the role of Non-Executive Director with the company. David joined Just Eat in March 2006 to start its UK business with Jesper Buch the Founder of JE, following a successful career with Coca-Cola.

David holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Law and Business from Middlesex University Business School and an honorary doctorate in entrepreneurship.

In 2014, David was named Entrepreneur of the Year at the Investor Allstars Awards and he was listed as one of the London Evening Standard’s top 1,000 influential people. In 2015, 2016 and 2017, he was named as one of Britain’s most influential people in the coveted Debrett’s 500.
